Joshua Winget has been playing music ever since he can remember, starting out playing brass in school bands, but his love for music exploded when he heard the Beatles at 7 years old.  He’s been playing guitar and bass since 13 years old, played in many bands through college, ranging in styles from rock to pop to jazz, folk, and blues.  He’s enjoyed an over 30 year career as an Emmy and M.P.S.E. award winning music editor for film and television. Since moving to the Coachella Valley 4 years ago, Josh has enjoyed playing in the local music scene and playing on several albums and recording projects. His approach to teaching is simple. You have to enjoy learning and playing an instrument, so each student gets a unique lesson and game plan that serves that purpose! If you start there, you can either begin a wonderful journey into playing, rediscover it, or maintain the joy you already have! Music can be daunting to some, but it doesn’t have to be. The most important thing is taking it a step at a time, build your skills, knowledge and technique and you’ll be able to make great music at ANY level.
